There are cenotes to explore, ziplines, snorkeling, all sorts of great activities and it is absolutely beautiful. They are huge ecoparks located in the area with lots of activities and adventures for the whole family. A great day trip/excursion for 10 & 12 year old boys is Xel-Ha or Xcaret. The kids will love the swim out pool and that alone will give you lots of fun, quality time together without packing them off to clubs.
